HostMantis used to be a very good provider (my HostMantis review). However, after they changed ownership (this summer), things started to change, and not for the better.
At this time, it is not a hosting provider I would recommend. With no info on what's left of the old infrastructure and employees, it's a new provider as far as I'm concerned. And one with a rather poor start. They'll need to step up on their service & tech. support quality, as well as begin to communicate with the clients in a more straightforward, upfront, and timely manner.
