14" HP EliteBook (or something - business class, with aluminium case). Closer to 10 years old than new. Bought it used.

i5 CPU (2 cores), 8GB RAM, 512 GB Samsung SSD (new).

Good keyboard, screen, decent batery, easily portable - does the job. Cost about $100, + some $50 for the SSD on a sale (it's a very good SSD - and overall a good deal for being mobile).

My desktop is a Windows 11 machine, which I'm beginning to lose patience with but that's a story for another time. I may well end up back on Mint or another distro in the not too distant future.

My desktop is fairly basic for work and basic tasks (I don't game), Ryzen 7 5700G, 32GB RAM, I think the mobo was a gigabyte b550 gaming x. All in all its been reasonably performant for me, I hope to get another 2-3 years from it.

On the go I use an old 2013 macbook air I ought to replace but haven't gotten round to yet.

stablecloud I did a downgrade from 11 to 10. 11 was buggy (clean install).

Amadex it's weird, my first maybe 3 months with Windows 11 were really good, smooth, liked the UI refresh, no real issues. Recently the windows search service broke after an update (so applications no longer showed up in start menu), despite fixing that the system just seems to suffer from frequent slowdowns, mouse jittering etc etc. These are not issues I've observed using different operating systems on the same hardware.

Knock on wood - Win 11 works fine for me.

Windows in general is far from the most stable OS I've seen, but a lot of times a good PSU, motherboard, and proper component drivers help solve a lot of problems.

Lucky to say I've never had problems with either XP, Win 7, 10 or 11 (though still early days for the latest Win. "incarnation").

IPhone SE (2020) - Personal use only. I love this phone. Does the job.

Google Pixel 2 - I love this phone; it still works like a charm.

This is probably going to kill you but it is a Lenovo X220 with an SSD and Ram upgrade. I know it is old and cluncky just like this Yeti.

Yeah on this one it is, I usually run Slackware but running Mint. It works ok except the Intel wireless card seems to mess with it a bit.

Configuring a static IP (disabling DHCP) can help (no idea why).

I have not had a watch in years, last one I had there was a 2GB thumbdrive built into it and you connect a mini USB cable to use it. I loved that watch, might have to look into another one.

Tried it no joy, tried disabling power management no joy, tried disabling N no joy, reverted to old driver unicode no joy.

Just may have to live with it being tethered until I decide to switch back.
